Prior and in light of the IX Dialogue EU-Brazil EC Workshop, focused on discussing the future EU-Brazil Coordinated Calls in the area of ICT, the EUBrasilCloudForum collaboration and support initiative is organizing an Open Workshop, scheduled for the 9th November and the morning of the 10th 2016.
Building on the previously meetings held to bring together all EU-Brazil collaborative projects and initiatives, the event is looking to consolidate a jointly built plan of action for future scenarios of collaboration between Europe and Brazil in the filed of ICT and cloud computing particularly. The workshop open to all stakeholders represents an opportunity to brainstorm challenges as well as opportunities and recommendations for further actions in terms of research priorities and policy directions to follow. Discussions will be particularly centered around cloud computing topics to be taken into consideration in the future EU-BR collaborative calls. The outcomes of the workshop will be presented on the 10th of November in the context of the IX Workshop on EU-Brazil Coordinated Calls in the area of ICT organised by the European Commission and Brazil's MCTI/RNP.
European project coordinator Ignacio Blanquer will speak about the EUBra-BIGSEA progress during the session on Cloud Federation, Portability and International Standardization, on the 9th of November.
Brazilian project coordinator, Wagner Meira, will on the other hand be contributing to the session focused on the BR-EU joint opportunities on Big Data Security and Privacy in the Cloud.
Both will also take part in the discussion panel on Cloud Interoperability, Data Portability, Standards and cloud SLAs, in the morning of the 10th of November focused on addressing emerging topics for the future collaborartion plans such as Open-source cloud platform developments and fog computing; Cloud federation & Cloud Security Access Broker solutions or Cloud sustained cyber-physical systems and systems of systems (CPSoSes).
Furthermore, EUBra-BIGSEA has prepared a summary contribution based on the work done so far particularly in reference to challeges in Big Data Applications, Security & Privacy, Interoperability & Portability and Smart cities & Urban Mobility, to be presented and dicusscussed in order to best align project results with the EU Brazil ICTpolicy dialogue.
